The Angel Band Project Checks In!

The Angel Band Project Checks In!

The weather in St. Louis is changing from cool to cold; the leaves are changing color and falling at our feet. Soon, it will be winter and we will be clutching at coffee mugs and burrowing away in our houses, trying to stay warm. We’re used to these changes and welcome them in each and every year. We look forward to the seasons shifting because we know what to expect. This year however, is different. We can all look forward to something unexpected but just as exciting. The Angel Band Project has undergone many changes alongside the changing temperatures and with those changes comes a new and improved website and blog. So, grab a cup of your favorite coffee, in your favorite holiday mug and get ready to see all that Angel Band Project has in store for the upcoming season!

First of all, we have just moved to an office space in the center of one of the most vibrant areas of St. Louis – The Delmar Loop. Located just above Meshuggah Cafe, it’s the perfect spot for those cold, wintery days. We are in the process of remodeling and redecorating to make this office really our own. We couldn’t be more excited to get to work.

Not only do we have a new website, blog and office but we also have a couple of events coming up that we can’t stop talking about. The first one is just a couple of weeks away.

One Voice Virtual Choir – which will support new music therapy programs for clients of Safe Connections, St. Martha’s Hall and YWCA St. Louis. The evening of music will take place on November 22nd and will feature a live choir, as well as a virtual choir, of survivors and advocates united against sexual violence. Tickets are just $50 and can be purchased by visiting this link: For more information about what this night will be about, please take the time to watch this inspiring video: Help us break the silence about sexual violence. We hope you can join us for this special event.

Just a couple of weeks after One Voice Virtual Choir, we are launching the first annual Brew for the Band event. We are partnering with our neighbors in the loop at The Market Pub House to bring you a night you won’t want to miss! The evening will feature a special release beer and wine tasting, a silent auction, cocktails, food and awesome live music. This event will be held on December 5th, so mark your calendars now and purchase tickets at

Another thing to add to the list of changes for Angel Band Project is the creation of our very own Instagram account! Please follow us @theangelbandproject. We will be posting photos and videos from all events and updating with news you won’t want to miss. You might just see yourself in some of the pictures. And of course keep following our Twitter and Facebook pages as well!

We know that the cold months ahead may encourage you to stay inside but we want to see you at our events, breaking the silence about sexual violence. We hope you can help with our efforts to change views about this important issue and help survivors heal. So bundle up, grab your mug filled with peppermint mocha and see all the new and exciting changes for Angel Band Project.
