We take our music and our story on the road whenever possible. In 2012 we had a live performance in Madison, Wisconsin as a part of the denim day observance sponsored by the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
While hundreds of feet of denim were being wrapped around the capital building, Angel Band contributor and survivor, Jennifer Hopper, sang to the crowd.
In 2013 we held our first benefit concert headlined by Two-Time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz. We held two SOLD OUT shows in St. Louis on May 8 and 9, and raised thousands of dollars to help fund our music therapy programs.
In 2014, our music hit the road to Seattle, WA. Jennifer Hopper took to the stage surrounded by a slew of amazing talent from her home town. Including special guest performer Brandi Carlile. The audience was taken in by the courage and bravery of Jennifer, who nearly lost her life during the attack in 2009.
In 2015, we’re traveling back out to Seattle on October 22nd for our second benefit concert — this one at the beautiful Illsley Nordstrom Ball Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall. Tickets: http://www.seattlesymphony.org/concerttickets/calendar/2015-2016/concerts/benaroyahall/angel-band
